Acrisure Arena: Hockey, Concerts & Big Desert Nights

Acrisure Arena is the Coachella Valley’s major indoor arena for concerts, touring shows, hockey and other ticketed events. It is an event venue, not a drop-in attraction. A good visit depends on checking the exact event’s ticket, parking, entry, bag and seating rules rather than relying on a generic arena description.

Acrisure Arena at a glance

  • Location: 75-702 Varner Road, Palm Desert
  • Best for: Concerts, Coachella Valley Firebirds hockey, touring entertainment and large indoor events
  • Entry: Event-specific ticket and start time
  • Parking: Event parking is sold separately for many events; purchase only through current official links
  • Accessibility: Accessible seating, escorts, listening devices, sensory resources and designated parking are available
  • Before you go: Read the event page and current A–Z venue guide

Start with the event, not the building

Concert, hockey and family-show configurations can use different entrances, floor layouts, arrival times and policies. Select the event first, then review its official detail page for doors, start time, ticket platform and restrictions. A seating map from another event may not match the configuration you are buying.

Tickets and parking

Use the official arena event page and its authorized ticket link. For parking, follow the official directions and purchase link associated with the event. Accessible spaces exist in all three parking lots but are limited and first-come, first-served; the Main Lot is closest for ADA parking.

A limited-mobility drop-off is located at the northeast corner near Berger Foundation Iceplex on Classic Club Drive. Rideshare instructions and promotional codes can change, so use the current trip-planning page rather than an old screenshot.

Accessibility and sensory resources

Wheelchair-accessible and low-mobility seating is marked in the ticket system, and each ADA guest may purchase one companion seat. Guests can request a wheelchair escort from the entrance to their ticketed seat, but arena wheelchairs cannot remain with the guest during the event.

Assistive listening devices and sensory kits are available from Guest Services. The arena is a Certified Autism Center and offers tools such as noise-canceling headphones, sunglasses, fidget items and communication resources. ASL interpreting can be requested in advance, with at least 10 business days recommended. Availability still needs confirmation for the specific event.

Food, bags and entry policies

Food and beverage options vary by event, and outside food and drink are generally prohibited except for approved medical, dietary or religious accommodations. Bag, camera and recording rules can change by performer or event. Check the current A–Z guide close to the event date rather than assuming a rule from a previous visit still applies.

Seasonal reasons to go

The indoor arena operates across the year. Hockey has its own season, while concerts and touring shows follow separate calendars. The building is a valuable heat-friendly entertainment option, but parking lots and entry lines are outdoors. In extreme heat, minimize early waiting and follow the venue’s stated arrival guidance.

Berger Foundation Iceplex is separate

The adjacent Berger Foundation Iceplex offers public skating and other year-round ice programming, but it is not included automatically with an arena event ticket. Treat the rink as a separate venue with its own schedule, admission and equipment rules.

Event-day checklist

  1. Open the exact event page and confirm date, doors and start time.
  2. Verify the authorized ticket and parking links.
  3. Review bag, camera and prohibited-item policies.
  4. Arrange accessibility services in advance when needed.
  5. Save the mobile ticket and parking information before approaching the venue.

Use Acrisure Arena’s official trip-planning page and accessibility guide. For local context, see our Palm Desert guide.
