Agua Caliente Cathedral City: Gaming, Dining & Live Entertainment

Agua Caliente Casino Cathedral City is the newest of the three Agua Caliente Casinos properties and the only one whose official visitor information identifies the entire indoor property as smoke-free. That distinction makes it a useful year-round evening option for visitors who want casino gaming, dining, sports viewing or live entertainment without indoor smoke.

Agua Caliente Cathedral City at a glance

  • Location: 68-960 East Palm Canyon Drive, Cathedral City
  • Property: Fully smoke-free indoors, including gaming, restaurants and common areas
  • Gaming: A 38,000-square-foot floor with slot machines, table games and a high-limit area
  • Best for: Smoke-sensitive casino visitors, sports viewing, dining, nightlife and scheduled outdoor entertainment
  • Parking: Free self-parking; valet availability should be checked directly
  • Before you go: Verify dining hours, entertainment, age requirements and current gaming information for this exact location

Keep the three Agua Caliente properties separate

Agua Caliente also operates casinos in Palm Springs and Rancho Mirage. Those locations have different gaming floors, restaurants, entertainment venues and smoking policies. This guide covers Cathedral City only. Do not use the Rancho Mirage hotel, spa, poker room or concert information to plan a Cathedral City visit.

What to do at the Cathedral City property

Casino gaming

The gaming floor includes hundreds of slot machines and table games, plus high-limit options. Game inventory, promotions and table availability can change. Visitors must meet legal age requirements to gamble, and anyone who chooses to play should set a time and spending limit before starting.

Dining and sports viewing

Current Cathedral City dining includes Café One Eleven, 360 Sports, Java Caliente and Agave Caliente Tequila Bar. The property does not have a buffet. Café One Eleven is the broader meal option, 360 Sports is designed around game viewing, Java Caliente covers coffee and quicker items, and Agave Caliente combines drinks, Mexican food and nightlife. Check each venue’s schedule independently.

Live entertainment

Agave Caliente Terraza is a 12,000-square-foot outdoor amphitheater used for concerts and events, while the tequila bar hosts music and nightlife. Entertainment is date-specific and can have separate age, seating or ticket rules. Use the Cathedral City entertainment calendar rather than the calendar for another Agua Caliente property.

Why the smoke-free distinction matters

The official property FAQ states that smoking is not permitted anywhere indoors, including gaming areas, restaurants and common areas. This is a property-wide Cathedral City policy, not a claim about the other two Agua Caliente casinos. Visitors with respiratory or sensory concerns should still contact the property about outdoor smoking areas and the route to a chosen venue.

Seasonal planning

The indoor casino and restaurants make this a year-round option. The outdoor Terraza becomes more weather-dependent: milder evenings generally make outdoor concerts more comfortable, while heat, wind and the event calendar determine whether it belongs in a specific trip plan.

Major sports seasons can make 360 Sports more appealing, and the property schedules rotating promotions and music. Those are current-event reasons to visit, not permanent features to summarize with stale dates. Check the exact day and venue.

A simple evening plan

  1. Choose the main purpose: gaming, a meal, a televised game or a scheduled performance.
  2. Verify that activity on the Cathedral City property page.
  3. Reserve or purchase tickets when the venue requires it.
  4. Set a gaming budget and time limit before arrival.
  5. Allow additional time for busy entertainment nights.

Use the official Agua Caliente Cathedral City page for current dining, gaming and entertainment. For local orientation, see our Cathedral City guide.
